My love of Photography, started at a very young age, when I bought my first film camera, a Zenith EM (which was built like a tank). I built a family archive whilst growing up. One of my first jobs was working as a photographic printer, for a professional lab which lasted for seventeen years, where I was training staff on multi package printers. Until I decided to leave to enter higher education . After working very hard for two years full time. I qualified with a Btec National Diploma (triple distinction) in photography at Bridgend College.

I have taken part in exhibitions in local libraries and college end of year shows. After going back to the college as a voluntary worker in the photography department for a number of years and gained more experience and knowledge. I am now employed by the college part-time as Technical Support for further education.

My love for black and white photography and the darkroom, especially in portraits has lasted a lifetime and still excites me today, and I still enjoy using it. Although I have moved to digital techniques, I still enjoy putting a film in my Rolleiflex and 35mm film camera and processing it. Heaven!

Thanks Julie
